Giving Tree Update

As you know, The VETS has partnered with Foster Forward this holiday season to bring gifts and necessities to children and teens of the area who may not receive any this season. I am so excited to announce that we will be partnering with them throughout the year to support foster children, their families in the area!

I am a firm believer that we work best when we are hands-on and work directly with the cause we are hoping to help.

I am SO EXCITED to announce that more than HALF of our giving tags have been taken - that’s over 30 tags! We do have a little ways to go before our final day of gathering gifts and we are asking for your help!

Some of the items that are still needed are listed below and in no particular order. We are also working with ages 1 (one) to 26 (twenty-six). We have siblings and families as well.

• TOYS (Legos, Ninja Turtles, Barbie Dolls, Baby dolls and accessories, Learning and Educational toys, Pretend Play toys, Arts and Crafts, Monster Trucks, Cocomelon toys, Vtech toys, Snuggly Blankets and Stuffed Toys, Minnie and Mickey are always favorites!)

• STOCKINGS and STOCKING STUFFERS!

• GIFT CARDS (Walmart, Visa Gift Cards, Stop & Shop, Shaw’s, Gas Cards)

• DIAPERS/UNDERWEAR and SOCKS (assorted sizes)

• PAJAMAS (assorted sizes) 

• CLOTHING (please reach out for sizing and gender)

• HATS, SCARVES, and GLOVES/MITTENS (assorted sizes)

• Monetary Donations (donations like this are helpful for us to purchase for tags that have not been chosen yet.)

If there is something you are particularly interested in doing or helping with, please don’t hesitate to reach out. ANY help is appreciated more than you know. If you are unable to wrap your gifts, send them our way.. We’ve got some elves looking for something to do!

All donations are due no later than THURSDAY, DECEMBER 14th, 2023 at 5:00p

Donations may be brought to any shift you may have and given to your supervisor OR you may drop them off at our administrative office during normal business hours: Monday - Friday 9:00a - 5:00p. Feel free to reach out if that timeframe doesn’t work, we can make arrangements.
